Dear Conservative Friend:

Homeschooling equals child abuse -- that clearly is the false impression
CBS National News sought to give viewers from its back-to-back hatchet
job titled "The Dark Side of Homeschooling." Your help is needed! Please
go to ConservativePetitions.com to see what can be done to correct this
unjust smear. Here's the address:

Eye on America's so-called "investigation" ignored obvious facts to draw
the erroneous conclusion that homeschoolers need to be strictly
regulated. The obviously slanted effort was a shameless attempt to smear
an entire community of committed, dedicated parents and slow down the
inroads homeschooling is making on public education.

Don't let CBS get away with this! Sign a petition not only to CBS
Chairman Leslie Moonves and Viacom CEO Sumner Redstone but your state's
CBS affiliate stations demanding the network apologize to homeschooling
families and then tell the truth in a follow-up report! Here again is
where to make your stand:

CBS concluded its reports by saying: "...it's hard to know how
widespread abuse might be because the government doesn't keep track" and
insinuated all parents should have teaching qualifications and undergo
criminal background checks before they are allowed to educate their
children at home.

Demand CBS admit its biased treatment of this issue and apologize on air
not only to homeschooling families but to the America public for falling
far short of acceptable journalistic standards. Stand up now at:

P.S. This is more than an isolated instance of CBS not getting its facts
straight or having a reporter include personal bias. This is part of a
much larger, more insidious effort by special interests to squash the
threat of homeschooling to public education's continued funding. Don't
let similar smears happen again elsewhere in the media. Help champion
the truth about homeschooling at:
